WEBSans (/sænz/ [2]) is the older [1] brother of Papyrus and a major character in Undertale. He first appears in Snowdin Forest after the protagonist exits the Ruins. Sans is the deuteragonist of the Neutral and True Pacifist routes, in which he keeps an eye on the protagonist throughout the game. He is also the final boss of the Genocide Route.

WEBThe library in Snowdoin says that a monster can have more HP than their max by sleeping, and seeing as Sans sleeps a lot, it's safe to assume that he has more than 1 HP, regardless of whether or not 1 is his base amount.

WEBJun 22, 2016 · Sans has one HP in the coding, so technically it's canon. However, in the same game, when you fake hit Undyne, it does 1 damage, so by following the same rules, fake hitting Sans would kill him if he had 1 HP.
