One of the sites I was on said you could actually walk out on the arch if you weren't afraid of heights. I don't really see myself doing this (seems like a good way to get a stupid tourist award to me!) but I was wondering if anyone has tried it or knows anyone who has?

I don't advise walking out on the arch. Leaving designated trails leads to damage of the flora which takes a lot of time to grow. There is also a safety concern.
