Heavy rain fell across parts of western North Carlina on Thursday for the first time since the devastating flooding event from Hurricane Helene and many continue to rebuild their homes.

A low-pressure system is bringing rain and flooding to coastal North Carolina. Meanwhile, parts of western North Carolina will see the most rain since Hurricane Helene's flooding.
