The fatal shooting occurred on March 4, 2021, at 5D Smoke Shop and Game Room on Altamesa Boulevard in Fort Worth.

The defendant and a man who prosecutors allege was an accomplice also robbed seven patrons at the game room, according to the district attorney’s office.

A Tarrant County man is going to prison for the rest of his life…for shooting a game-room employee during a robbery. Prosecutors say 29-year-old Albert Gonzalez and an accomplice went into the 5D Smoke Shop and Game Room in 2021.

Albert Gonzalez was sentenced to life in prison after fatally shooting a game room clerk. He then stole cash from the clerk's pockets and robbed others in the store.
