The U.S. Coast Guard offloaded a record 61,740 pounds of cocaine and 14,400 pounds of marijuana in what officials called the largest drug seizure in its history.

MIAMI, Fla. (WFLA)— The U.S. Coast Guard is speaking about the largest cocaine offload in Coast Guard history. The Coast Guard, with partner agencies, offloaded more than 76,140 pounds of illegal narcotics at Port Everglades.

The U.S. Coast Guard offloaded over 38 tons of cocaine and marijuana Monday morning at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Officials said they intercepted enough cocaine to kill every person living in Florida by overdose.
