Another First Alert Weather Day is set in motion this morning. Yesterday’s valley snowfall has led to heavy snow accumulations in the high country. I-70 travel is extremely difficult this morning as many passes are covered in snow.

Even warmer air is likely next week with most of the snow melting away pretty quickly. Watch for fog potential each morning though as we add more moisture to the air through the melting.

We’ll continue our trend of bitterly cold mornings on Friday. A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect until 9am for locations along and south of Highway 20. Wind chills will be in the -20s through mid-morning, but then a southerly wind up to 25mph will take over and help temperatures peak near 20° this afternoon. Lots of sunshine is expected today.
