A dispute between two employees at Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, Mississippi, escalated into a shooting on Friday that left one dead and another facing a murder charge, authorities said.

A dispute between two employees at a shipbuilding site turned deadly Friday morning as one man was shot and killed.

A shooting occurred at the shipyard more than 20 years ago, when it was known as Northrop Gurmman. An employee, Alexander Lett, killed his supervisor and wounded another employee. He pleaded guilty to murdering Donald Eddins and aggravated assault against Ben Gaffney, and he is serving a prison sentence of life plus 20 years.
