Shortstop Mookie Betts will miss the Los Angeles Dodgers' two exhibition games in Japan because of an illness, manager Dave Roberts said Saturday.

If Betts can’t go, the Dodgers’ official website lists veteran infielder Miguel Rojas as the perennial All-Star’s backup. Rojas hit .283 with a career-high .3.4 bWAR last season. Rojas started against the Giants on Saturday and notched a single in his first at-bat.
