Texas is the No. 1 team in the preseason AP Top 25 for the first time in program history. Many would argue that the national championship is the Longhorns' to lose. They also have a big-name quarterback set to take the reins in Arch Manning,

Manning has a decent amount of experience under his belt, already having two starts last season against Louisiana-Monroe and Mississippi State while stepping in for injured Quinn Ewers. He threw for a combined 583 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions on 41 of 60 passing (68%). He added another 29 yards rushing and a score.

Now, after two years of waiting his turn at Texas, serving as Quinn Ewers’ backup, Manning is entering the spotlight for the top-ranked Longhorns.
