There are many great entrances in college football, but few are as electric or as loud as Virginia Tech running out to Metallica's "Enter Sandman" for a big game (especially at night).  What started as a fan's choice between three songs -- "Enter Sandman,

Metallica, long a Bay Area institution, and Virginia Tech, an unassuming school in the rural South. In the minds of college football fans, however, the two are inexorably intertwined. That's because the Hokies have played Metallica's 1991 hit "Enter Sandman" before their team takes the field for every home game since 2000.

It plays before every home Virginia Tech football game, "Enter Sandman" is a staple on gameday, now it will be performed live & Hall of Fame football coach Frank Beamer couldn't be happier.
