Harrison, The Mavericks and Dallas

The Mavericks fired their general manager and president of basketball operations after four seasons, one NBA Finals appearance, a franchise-altering trade and in the midst of Dallas’ abysmal 3-8 start, its worst since 2018.
Mavericks General Manager Nico Harrison was fired Tuesday during a meeting with team owner Patrick Dumont, the team confirmed.
Dallas opened a new chapter after firing GM Nico Harrison, but the result looked familiar. The Mavericks committed 21 turnovers in a 123-114 loss to the Suns despite a strong showing from rookie Cooper Flagg.
According to Tim MacMahon, Nico Harrison ended up taking the fall for a situation in which Dallas Mavericks ownership had an equal hand.
