The National Weather Service also issued a flash flood warning at 3 p.m. for most of the western side of the Coachella Valley, as well as Whitewater and Highway 74 between Anza and Palm Desert, warning of "life-threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses."
