Five minor earthquakes shook California on Thursday, including two rumbles just minutes apart in the San Francisco Bay area, making five tremblors in 24 hours for California.

Multiple earthquakes shook California's Bay Area Thursday. They were recorded near Hayward, around 20 miles southeast of Oakland, the USGS reported.

A series of small earthquakes hit near a Bay Area city on Thursday, with the most recent being a magnitude 3.7, according to the US Geological Survey.

Bay Area Shorelines is included in an updated wind advisory issued by the National Weather Service on Friday at 1:37 a.m. The advisory is in effect until 10 a.m.
