South Carolina has carried out the execution of Stephen Corey Bryant, a convicted killer, by firing squad, the third such execution in the state during 2025.

Stephen Bryant is the seventh person put to death in the state in the last 14 months after a 13-year pause in executions.

Anferny Freeman, 27, was charged with murder in a mass shooting that killed four people and injured 15 people.
