In that interview, McAlear cited all of the engines the last-gen Charger had been made available with over its lifespan, from a 3.5L V6 to a 6.4L V8, and said this new car is underpinned by “a multi-energy platform that can accommodate all of that.” He added, “We’re just getting started. We’re going to have a lot of fun.”
Dodge Boss Hints At Hemi V8’s Return And Hornet GLH Production
Getting back to Hemi power, Mopar Insiders recently reported a “trusted source” told them Stellantis is preparing to restart production of the 5.7-liter V8. If the report is to be believed, production will move from Mexico to Dundee, Michigan. The publication goes on to say the engine could be installed in the Dodge Durango as well as the Ram 1500.
