At least two construction workers remained hospitalized Sunday following Friday night’s accident during a construction operation on the Interstate 395 bridge near downtown Miami.

Initial reports suggested it was a "bridge collapse"; however, FDOT clarified that the incident happened during a concrete pour in the work zone.

While the accident happened near the I-395 Signature Bridge, the FDOT said Saturday that the accident did not involve the bridge structure.

A portion of Interstate 395 in Norwich is closed because of a multi-vehicle crash.
