A major winter storm continues across Eastern Iowa today, bringing periods of heavy snow and rapidly accumulating totals. Snowfall will persist through much of the day before tapering this evening.
Snowfall totals are expected to be higher the farther south you go, with areas south of Interstate 80 seeing the best chance for mutiple inches of accumulation. Snow ends from west to east by midnight and skies turn partly cloudy for Tuesday. Lows Monday night are in the upper single digits to low teens with highs Tuesday in the low to mid 20s.
