The United States, US, President-elect, Donald Trump would have been convicted for his alleged effort to overturn the 2020 election result if he lost the November 2023 presidential election. This was contained in a report by former Special Counsel Jack Smith of the Department of Justice which was released on Tuesday.

Smith led the federal cases against Donald Trump on charges of trying to overturn his 2020 election defeat and mishandling of classified documents. Trump suggested he might seek retribution.
