The National Weather Service confirms two EF-1 and one EF-2 tornado hit Central Georgia, causing extensive damage in several counties.
Weather sirens went off during a tornado warning from around 7:50 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. in Macon. This indicated “a tornado has been reported by spotters or indicated by radar and there is a serious threat to life and property to those in the path of the tornado,” the NWS said.
