After you set up Touch ID, it’s automatically available in the iTunes Store, App Store, and Apple Books. When you make a purchase, you can use your fingerprint instead of entering your password.

But one thing it doesn't carry over is Apple's facial recognition tech, Face ID. Instead, you'll use a fingerprint to unlock the tablet, approve purchases and sign into apps.

Look for Use Face ID For, select Other Apps, and toggle on the apps you want to use Face ID for unlocking. If an app has a Face ID option, you can usually use it on the app’s log-in screen.
