The NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs are approaching their finale and their is one last cut before next week's championship, and it comes following the Xfinity 500 on Sunday, Oct. 26.
The NASCAR Cup Series Round of 8 finishes up with the Xfinity 500 on Oct. 26 at Martinsville Speedway. William Byron is on the pole, and he is one of four drivers well off the playoff cutline coming into the race. Byron, Chase Elliott, Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney all likely need to win to advance to the Championship 4.
Kyle Larson, 33, outdueled Denny Hamlin, Chase Briscoe and William Byron to win his second title following his 2021 championship.
The Martinsville playoff race is scheduled to start at 2:00p.m. ET or 11:00 a.m. PT on Sunday, October 26. The race will be held at Martinsville Speedway in Martinsville, Virginia. Stage 1 ends at Lap 130. Stage 2 ends at Lap 260. Stage 3 ends at Lap 500.
