The Grevin waxwork museum in Paris has unveiled a statue of Princess Diana in the "revenge dress" she wore after public revelations about her then-husband Prince Charles's infidelity. She is displayed wearing a copy of the black gown by designer Christina Stambolian that she wore for a public appearance in 1994 amid a media frenzy about the breakdown of her marriage to Charles.
The museum debuted the tribute on the 30-year anniversary of Diana's still-controversial 'Panorama' interview because it marked "the first time she spoke openly and sincerely about her personal life" and was "a moment that changed the way the public saw her.
The new exhibition features works by Black American artists who lived in Europe from the 1890s to the middle of the 20th century and beyond. The artistic period included the Harlem Renaissance and “awakenings” in Chicago and other cities.
