After a blustery, chilly Thanksgiving day, a winter storm watch will be in effect for much of northern and central Illinois and parts of northwest Indiana from Friday at 3 p.m. until Sunday at 6 a.m.,
Friday Night: Snow begins between 8PM and midnight and continues through the night. By sunrise there should be 1-3” of snow on the ground. Roads will become slick. Low: near 20.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for Northeast Pennsylvania from late Monday night through Tuesday evening. Snowfall amounts of 6 inches or more are possible. The storm watch includes the counties of Lackawanna, Luzerne, Pike, Wayne, Schuylkill, Susquehanna and Wyoming.
More than 1,400 flights were canceled at Chicago airports as of Saturday night as a winter storm bringing 6-10 inches of snow moved into the area.
The first winter storm of the season could bring anywhere between 1 and 8 inches of snow across the Lehigh Valley and Poconos.
