At approximately 8:15 p.m. on AUg. 23, a 16-year-old boy was found unresponsive at the Butzel playground located in the 14800 block of Monte Vista in Detroit, with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was transported to a local hospital by medics where he succumbed to his injuries.

A child was killed and five others were injured in a crash early Saturday morning on Detroit’s east side, police said.

Officers were driving in the left lane to make a left turn at Gratiot Avenue when a black pickup struck their car, police said.
