A towering wall of dust has rolled through metro Phoenix. Storms left thousands of people without power and temporarily grounded flights at the city airport.

A major dust storm that rolled over Phoenix, Arizona, on Monday, August 25, impacted visibility and travel conditions. This timelapse was captured by @arizonachef and shows the cloud of dust moving over homes.

The brief ground stop at Sky Harbor International Airport was lifted on Monday evening, but delays were expected as operations resumed.
