The 49ers have closed their preseason with a win over the intra-state rival Chargers. Quarterbacks Tanner Mordecai and Carter Bradley each threw for one touchdown, while Jeff Wilson Jr. added one on the ground. With the score tied 16-16 late in the fourth quarter, Curtis Robinson's 32-yard pick six gave San Francisco a lead it wouldn't relinquish.

Elgersma, an undrafted rookie from Canada, threw his first touchdown pass of the preseason (a 3-yarder to Will Sheppard ). He finished 6-of-8 for 32 yards.
