Katy Perry is going to space. The award-winning "E.T." and "Firework" singer will fly on a firework of her own when she joins the first all-female crew to launch on a Blue Origin New Shepard rocket later this year.

Katy Perry, Lauren Sanchez, Gayle King and others will travel to space on Blue Origin's first all-female crew in the spring, according to a press release.

"The NS-31 mission is historic as it marks the first crewed space mission composed entirely of women since Valentina Tereshkova's solo flight in 1963."
