The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Lawrence County and is warning drivers about potential floods caused by nearly an inch of rain overnight and melting snow. The saturated ground has produced conditions ripe for landslides and debris flows on steep slopes around the area.

The warning, issued by the National Weather Service, is in effect for Clay, Fayette, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, Mingo, Mason, Nicholas, Roane and Wayne counties in West Virginia, as well as Gallia, Lawrence and Jackson counties in Ohio and Carter and Greenup County, Kentucky.
