The New York Giants may have to deal with giving up legitimate draft capital while also paying a hefty sum for Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold.

Signed by the Vikings in March on a one-year, $10 million deal, Darnold — starting over injured rookie J.J. McCarthy, who underwent surgery for his meniscus during preseason — helped lead Minnesota to a 14-3 regular season record that boasted a nine-game win streak.

“I love [Cowboys owner Jerry Jones] and believe in Jerry,” Sanders told ESPN on Monday night during the Vikings-Rams playoff game, per Adam Schefter. “After you hang up, and process it, and think about it, it’s intriguing.
