HARTFORD, Conn. — After 20 years of the same voting technology, the state of Connecticut is getting a major boost at the ballot box. More than 2,000 new voting tabulators are rolling out on Election Day. FOX61 got an early look at the machines, designed to make voting faster and more reliable.

As of Sunday morning, more than 154,000 people across the state had voted early, and over 20,000 absentee ballots were returned.
