The IDF says Hamas did not return the remains of Shiri Bibas, the mother of the two youngest hostages. Israel says her children were murdered by Hamas not killed by an airstrike as previously thought.

Hamas handed over a body to the Red Cross, which is now being transported to an IDF unit. Hamas claims it is the body of Shiri Bibas, a day after her remains were meant to have been released.

One of the four bodies handed over from Gaza to Israel on Thursday is not Shiri Bibas, and is not a hostage, the Israel Defense Forces said, calling it a "very serious violation" by Hamas.

This is a violation of utmost severity by the Hamas terrorist organization, which is obligated under the agreement to return four deceased hostages,” the IDF said. “We demand that Hamas return Shiri home along with all our hostages.
