Millions of people could be eligible for $3,000 more dollars in unemployment benefits if a new bill is passed and signed into law.

Ricardo Santiago, 60, was sentenced in Hartford to six years and nine months in prison for fraudulently acquiring benefits. He must also pay back $371,686.
Many don’t apply because they don’t believe they will be eligible for benefits.
