NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero uncovers additional details that potentially influenced the trade of defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi from the New York Jets to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for a conditional draft pick.

Nnadi spent the first seven years of his career with the Chiefs before signing with the Jets this offseason. But he became expendable when the Jets added two veteran defensive tackles via trade last week. They acquired Harrison Phillips and a 2027 seventh-round pick from the Vikings in exchange for a 2026 sixth-rounder and 2027 sixth-rounder.
