The Government has confirmed pubs can stay open later for any home nation knockout match at the 2026 World Cup, with extended hours to 1am or 2am to help venues maximise trade during late kick offs.
The Home Secretary has agreed for venues to stay open until 1am for most knockout games and until 2am for 10pm kick-offs during the 2026 World Cup.
