This past Saturday in the main event of UFC Shanghai, we saw a big time matchup in the light heavyweight division. China’s top up and comer Mingyang Zhang (19-7) was looking to continue his incredible finishing streak as he took on Johnny Walker (22-9, 1 NC).

Johnny Walker admits Octagon rust slowed him early but he recovered to score a brutal second-round TKO over Zhang Mingyang at UFC Shanghai.

With the victory, Walker snaps a three-fight winless streak (two losses and one no contest). The victory was his first since he beat Anthony Smith by unanimous decision in May 2023. In defeat, Zhang loses for the first time in the UFC after promotional victories over Brendson Ribeiro, Ozzy Diaz, and Anthony Smith.
