The New York State Thruway Authority reported traffic backed up in the area. WIVB-TV in Buffalo reported several Mercy Flight helicopters were requested, and some uninjured passengers were taken to the Indian Falls Fire Station.

A tour bus rolled over in a "serious mass casualty" crash on a major highway in upstate New York Friday, officials said.
