Alcaraz is slated to play American Reilly Opelka in the first round Monday night, and is vying for his second career U.S. Open title after previously winning it in 2022 when he was just 19 years old.

Even golf star Rory McIlroy was surprised to see tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz sporting a new look at the US Open.

After impressing in a 6-4 7-5 6-4 victory, Alcaraz quizzed the crowd on his new look, earning loud cheers when he said: "I've got to ask to the people if they like the new haircut or not. Do you like it guys? I think they like it."
