Sometimes the dumbest NFL play is a coaching decision. Aaron Glenn admitted he never considered a timeout that could have saved the Jets' game.

The Jets blew a 17-7 lead in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Packers, but they could have gotten the ball back at the end of regulation with time for a chance to win the game.

It was something the Jets were sorely missing at times during the Robert Saleh era, never more so than when Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles four plays into the 2023 season and the collective response was to throw their hands up and dream about what could've been. Glenn will not rest on his laurels. There's no time to mope.

The New York Jets almost treated their fans to a win over the Green Bay Packers in their home opener. They would have been 2-0 for the first time since 2015, but in true Jets fashion, they found a way to lose the game.

Belton was not an obvious star of the game for the Jets, but he did something that impressed the coaches. After Minkah Fitzpatrick injured his groin in the first quarter, Belton had to shift into Fitzpatrick’s strong safety role and Andre Cisco came in as the free safety.
