The FBI has searched the Maryland home and Washington office of ex-Trump national security adviser John Bolton as part of an investigation into the handling of classified information.

The FBI conducted a court-authorized search at John Bolton’s home as part of a national security investigation into whether he disclosed classified information in his 2020 book, according to two people familiar with the matter.

The FBI says its searches of Bolton's home and office was authorized by a court but declined to provide further details. Bolton is a frequent critic of the president.
