Among the over 18,000 fans in attendance to watch Game 6 was Connor McDavid's wife, Lauren Kyle McDavid. During one moment in the contest, she got up and stood on her chair to cheer for Edmonton before sharing a hug with two women in front of her, as shown in a video she posted to her Instagram story.

It’s becoming increasingly apparent that the Edmonton Oilers are going to need more from Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl than they ever have before. It wasn’t supposed to be this way. Not now. Not with the two superstars in their late 20s and coming off a Stanley Cup Final appearance.

Two of the Oilers best players over the course of the series were Connor Brown and Calvin Pickard. After coming in to relieve Stuart Skinner in Game 2, Pickard became the starter for the rest of the series. “Picks (Pickard) gave us a chance to win every night,” McDavid stated. “Played great these last four games.”
