BELLEAIR, Fla. – While the 18-year-old amateur missed the cut in her first LPGA Tour event this week, Kai Trump departed Pelican Golf Club on Friday with a renewed sense of gratitude. After all, what female teenager with dreams of one day competing on the LPGA Tour wouldn’t appreciate the opportunity.
Trump, the 18-year-old granddaughter of President Donald Trump, followed her first-round 13-over-par 83 in The Annika at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Fla., with a Friday effort of 75 that included four birdies. Those red numbers were sprinkled in among one triple bogey and one double bogey.
