Akron, Ohio native Larry Nance Jr. is reuniting with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2025-2026 season. Nance played 182 games in four seasons with the Cavs from 2018 to 2021.

Sources tell cleveland.com that the Cavs and Nance agreed on a one-year contract for the veteran’s minimum early Tuesday evening — a deal that brings the 32-year-old Akron native back to the franchise where his father became a legend and where Junior spent three full seasons before asking for a trade in the summer of 2021.

New Orleans originally acquired Nance in February 2022 as part of the CJ McCollum trade with the Portland Trail Blazers. Portland originally acquired the seven-year veteran from the Cavaliers in August 2021 as part of a three-team sign-and-trade deal that also included the Chicago Bulls.
