A Jackson County Circuit Court judge blocked enforcement last week of nearly all Missouri laws that restrict abortion, ruling the 2024 passage of Amendment 3 enshrined the right to an abortion in the state constitution.

Abortions can resume again in Missouri. On Thursday, Jackson County Circuit Court Judge Jerri Zhang issued a temporary injunction against several of the state’s abortion regulations, ruling that they likely violate the voter-passed constitutional amendment that restored many abortions in Missouri.

Abortion services will resume in Missouri on Monday following a Jackson County court order blocking enforcement of almost all of the state’s laws restricting the procedure.
