Nickelodeon has greenlit an animated series set in the world of its beloved Avatar: The Last Airbender. The new show, titled Avatar: Seven Havens, has a 26-episode order and will follow a new Avatar. The series will be the third in the Avatar -verse, following the original show and The Legend of Korra.

Paramount-owned kids’ net Nickelodeon has commissioned a new 2D animated series from the Avatar universe, called Avatar: Seven Havens.

Nickelodeon has greenlit Avatar: Seven Havens, a new 26-episode animated series that expands the lore of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The show is being developed by Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko—the original creators of the series—under their newly formed Avatar Studios.

Nickelodeon will release an animated film centered on Aang, featuring the voices of Eric Nam, Dionne Quan, Jessica Matten, Roman Zaragoza, and Filipino-American wrestler-turned-actor Dave Bautista as the movie's villain next year.

Nickelodeon has ordered a new sequel series to Avatar: The Last Airbender that takes place after The Legend of Korra. According to Variety, Avatar: Seven Havens will consist of 26 half-hour episodes spread across two seasons, also known as Books 1 & 2 in Avatar style.
