NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang has high hopes for the future of robotics, calling it one of the biggest opportunities outside AI. He believes that this decade will be dominated by autonomous vehicles (AVs), robotics, and autonomous machines. Along with AI, Huang expects robotics to drive the most growth for NVIDIA in the coming years.

The company’s Jetson Thor robotics computers can hear, detect patterns, make decisions and act — using generative AI tech that’s largely available now.

Nvidia launched Thor via a video (top) featuring the company’s long-time CEO Jensen Huang handing a gift box to a humanoid robot with a message card that says, “Enjoy your new brain.” The clip then shows multiple humanoid robots opening the box to find the new device that’s designed to make it a lot cleverer.
