The Larry H. Miller Family, in conjunction with Miller Sports & Entertainment, has acquired a controlling interest in MLS side Real Salt Lake and the NWSL's Utah Royals.

The Miller family and Miller Sports + Entertainment bought a controlling interest in the Real Salt Lake and Utah Royals FC soccer teams from David Blitzer in a deal announced Friday that includes the Utah Monarchs, America First Field in Sandy and Zions Bank Training Center and Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman.

The Miller family is back in major league sports.Five years after selling the Utah Jazz, the Larry H. Miller Co. has taken control of the Real Salt Lake and the Utah Royals soccer clubs.New York-based private equity investor David Blitzer will transition into a minority ownership role with the clubs.
