Shubman Gill created a new world record as he became the fastest to 2,500 ODI runs in 50 innings. He surpassed Hashim Amla's record of 53 innings. With an ODI batting average over 60, Gill boasts the highest average among batters who have played at least 50 matches.

Shubman Gill created history with his century at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in the third ODI against England. Gill has become the first Indian to hit a century across formats at a single ground.

Thanks to his brilliant century, Gill has now scored the most runs in ODI cricket after 50 innings, surpassing Hashim Amla. The Punjab batsman has 2,587 runs in 50 ODI innings, going past Amla’s tally of 2,486 runs in the same number of innings.
