Competitors in the 'Irish Jig' Scottish Highland Dance heats, held during the 2023 Oldmeldrum Sports & Highland Games in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. This wonderful day returns to Oldmeldrum on Saturday 15th June 2024. The Scottish version of this dance is a parody of an Irish washerwoman in an agitated frame of mind; an energetic dance featuring lots of fist shaking and skirt flouncing among female competitors.
